Virtual and augmented reality are terms used to describe a type of computer simulation that involves using a computer to create a virtual or augmented scene that is then rendered onto a screen.  The main difference between VR and AR is that AR is used to create a real-world view of a virtual scene that is superimposed onto the real world.  This allows for a more realistic experience where real-world objects are “augmented” with digital objects.  With virtual reality, the user enters a simulated environment and experiences things within that environment using a number of technologies such as headphones, gloves, head-mounted displays, and body-worn sensors.

Gamers spectating is a type of practice in which a player of a video game is able to spectate events taking place in a virtual world.  Gamers spectating the events of a virtual world are able to gain a better understanding of the virtual world and its players, allowing the players to interact with players of the game more deeply and interact with the virtual world more thoroughly.  Gamers spectating allows for the player to be a fly-on-the-wall in the virtual world and witness all of the events that take place in the virtual world.  This is one of the reasons why gamers are so attracted to video games as a medium of entertainment.

The word gamer is a term for a person who plays video games and has the skills needed to play them. One might be a competitive gamer, who plays games for the thrill of beating other people. There are also casual gamers, who play for fun, but will put up with a lot of frustration to see their favorite game run better. Finally, there are hobby gamers, who play only to have fun, and don’t want to be challenged or have to put in long hours playing.

While the future of Virtual Reality is still in development, the future of augmented reality seems to be certain. This type of technology is used to add digital objects, graphics, and information to the real world. These new technologies will almost certainly be more popular than virtual reality, possibly even surpassing it, as we live in a world of mobile phones and smartwatches. To make sure technology stays up to date in the future, it is imperative that people stay informed, which is another reason that gamers should be educated on this topic.
